Last week Dartmouth Caring received a generous grant of over £5,000 from the Elise Pilkington Trust. The grant will make a significant and valued contribution to this service.
The service has been inundated during the pandemic as the needs of these clients has grown, with access to mainstream health services becoming more difficult and many clients being in the high risk shielding group.
The service provides support and advice to patients with any life limiting illness and also to those who may be newly diagnosed with a cancer diagnosis who are currently undergoing treatment. This is a difficult time for everyone but in particular for those in our community facing these health challenges.
Dee Nutt, Chair of Trustees thanked the Elise Pilkington Trust and Andie Day, our nurse who runs this service for their support and work, which makes such a difference to those helped.
